Marble
Marble is a metamorphic rock that is created as a result of the metamorphosis of a combination of rocks under intense pressure and temperatures. These rocks include calcite, limestone, dolomite and serpentine. The main component of marble is calcium carbonate and contains acidic oxide.
Travertine
Travertines are chemical sedimentary rocks with a calcium carbonate composition. They occur as a result of the calcium carbonate in groundwater precipitating under certain conditions. This precipitation forms travertines with soft lines over time.
Limestone
Limestone is a carbonate sedimentary rock that is generally composed of skeletal parts of marine creatures such as coral, foraminifera, and molluscs. Its main ingredients are calcite and aragonite minerals, which are different crystal forms of calcium carbonate. A closely related rock is dolomite, which contains a high percentage of the mineral dolomite.
